I was brought up on a dairy farm and from an early age, visits to the farm by the vet were occasions not to be missed.  These experiences, along with my liking for animals were undoubtedly the reasons I decided to become a vet.  After graduating as a vet in 1977 from Massey University I moved to the Franklin District, where I thoroughly enjoy life as a vet.

Outside of work, my interests include playing farmer on our lifestyle block, motorsport, collecting vintage Tonka toys and making wooden toys for our young grandsons. Without doubt my favourite pastime is spending time with my wife Dee at our beach house or touring the highways together in our classic 1993 Mini Cooper visiting family and friends or just checking out what’s around the next corner.
