Our Team:
Sally graduated from Massey University in 1995 and started her career in the huge metropolis of Patea. It didn’t take her long to realise that her heart was in Companion Animal practice – this has been her focus for the last 20+ years. Sally really enjoys getting to know her patients & their people, while keeping them healthy through all life stages. She enjoys following equestrian sports, gardening & hanging out with her two favourite kitties Scotti & Paddy.
Dr Devon joined the CareVets team as a Veterinarian in February 2023. Rachel has been working for CareVets in front of house since COVID lockdowns were the norm (it made for interesting and fast learning). In her past life she worked at the SPCA for over 20 years in various roles, having completed the ‘Animal Welfare and Investigations’ certificate at Unitec. Her family pets at present include two cats, and two bonded bunnies, all adopted from the SPCA. In her spare time, the little she has with kids, Rachel likes to read, tramp with her friends and forage for rabbit food.
Rosie graduated in 2021 with her Diploma in Veterinary Nursing, however has been working with animals in the Veterinary industry since 2018. She has always loved animals since she was little and is so excited to start her journey meeting new people and their favourite animal companions! Rosie started working at CareVets in 2022 and is loving every day. When she’s not working Rosie loves to spend time outdoors doing fun and exciting activities, catching up with family, friends and pets and loves to watch a good show or movie on a rainy day. She has a fluffy cat at home named Sox who loves to come find Rosie whenever she moves about the house and won’t say no to one of her favourite cat treats. Come in and say hi! Rosie looks forward to meeting you and your fur children.
Amber is a Veterinary Nurse here at CareVets. She started at CareVets in 2022, whilst studying as a Veterinary Nurse at Wintec and attended work placement at two of the local CareVets clinics. In her free time she loves going out on adventures with her two dogs Shilo and Loki and spending time with family and friends. Her family and her live on a Goat and Dairy farm in Te Awamutu and have an assortment of animals, from lizards to chickens, ducks, sheep, pigs, rabbits, cats, and 6 dogs! Growing up Amber had always been passionate about animals. CareVets had given her an amazing opportunity to join the team and pursue more of her goals as a Veterinary Nurse.
