At CareVets we care about not just your pets’ physical health, but their mental wellbeing too. If you are experiencing problems such as excessive barking, aggression, anxiety, fear behaviours, destructive behaviours or have concerns around any other negative or unusual behaviours, coming in to see your Veterinarian is often a good first step.
Initially, we want to determine if there is a training problem, a true behaviour problem or whether there may be an underlying medical reason for the behaviours you are seeing in your pet. Our team will often recommend blood and urine tests and a full physical examination as the groundwork to rule out medical causes, before moving on to discussing the behaviours with you and advising on a plan to move forward. In some cases, we may refer you to a specialised behaviourist.
Many times, behaviour problems take time and committed effort on your part to resolve, however we are here to help you through that journey with your pet every step of the way.
