Our Team:

Dr Sally Browning
BVSc
Lead Veterinarian

Sally graduated from Massey University in 1995 and started her career in the huge metropolis of Patea. It didn’t take her long to realise that her heart was in Companion Animal practice – this has been her focus for the last 20+ years. Sally really enjoys getting to know her patients & their people, while keeping them healthy through all life stages. She enjoys following equestrian sports, gardening & hanging out with her two favourite kitties Scotti & Paddy.

Dr Devon Bree

She grew up in Hamilton and in her free time enjoys anything outdoorsy including scuba diving! She is enjoys video games. Her favourite animal is a snake and her least favourite food are tomatoes!

Rachel
Clinic Coordinator

Rachel has been working for CareVets in front of house since COVID lockdowns were the norm (it made for interesting and fast learning). In her past life she worked at the SPCA for over 20 years in various roles, having completed the ‘Animal Welfare and Investigations’ certificate at Unitec. Her family pets at present include two cats, and two bonded bunnies, all adopted from the SPCA. In her spare time, the little she has with kids, Rachel likes to read, tramp with her friends and forage for rabbit food.

Rosie
DVN RVN
Head Veterinary Nurse

Rosie graduated in 2021 with her Diploma in Veterinary Nursing, however has been working with animals in the Veterinary industry since 2018. She has always loved animals since she was little and is so excited to start her journey meeting new people and their favourite animal companions! Rosie started working at CareVets in 2022 and is loving every day. When she’s not working Rosie loves to spend time outdoors doing fun and exciting activities, catching up with family, friends and pets and loves to watch a good show or movie on a rainy day. She has a fluffy cat at home named Sox who loves to come find Rosie whenever she moves about the house and won’t say no to one of her favourite cat treats. Come in and say hi! Rosie looks forward to meeting you and your fur children.

Ronnie
DVN
Senior Veterinary Nurse

Ronnie graduated in 2020 with her Diploma in Veterinary Nursing. Since then she has gained her nursing experience in different clinics around the Waikato Region. Ronnie started working with CareVets when she first graduated in 2020, and was a junior vet nurse at the Waikato Afterhours where her interest in emergency, diagnostics and critical hospital care started. She has since come back to CareVets after her time away and really enjoys being back in her home city. She has two beautiful yellow labradors (family dogs) and hopes to add a feline addition to the mix in the near future! In her spare time she likes to play guitar, piano and go on spontaneous road trips!
